WF2007 Funds Raised World Flight Australia will present a cheque for AUD16,000 to the RFDS at their 80th anniversary celebrations at Bankstown airport on May 18th 2008. This is a record amount raised since the first WF in 2001. In 2007 WF Australia added another team from Hobart to the group and their fundraising efforts helped us achieve this record amount. Commodores Black Tie Dinner Its become a Worldflight tradition for the Commodore (Dave Palmer) to invite the crew to a black tie dinner in the Captains Lounge (the caravan). The group dressed up as best we could (plastic ties are all the rage this year) and enjoyed a evening packed with culture and scintillating reparte. The dinner was capped off with the traditional passing of the port, followed by a toast to Sim God in thanks for hosting and organising the event. ( 12:30 10/11/2007 )
