Gents,

Looking through the flightplans and the flightplan into Dublin is very very poor and uses outdated waypoints. "BPK UN601 MARGO BAGPO PIK TRN UP600 GELKI"

The following would be far more suitable, CPT UL9 KENET UN14 PEMOB UM17 VATRY

Perhaps could it be changed? The old routing is gonna cause headaches for ATC I think!

Of course it's poor!
That's because we're going via PIK (Prestwick-Glasgow) for a touch-and-go at the request of the Scottish crew.

Its understandable then in this case

However, some waypoints could not still be active for example GELKI was removed last may ;) and also the UP600 is no longer available for Dublin arrivals, so they would need to route TRN UP620 BLACA UP600 NIMAT instead of to GELKI.

Have fun

Colm,

Thanks for your input. The planning was done back in April, and with the (then) latest data available to us. We do it early to allow time for comment, and then time for the generation of the myriad of downstream files required to satisfy participants. Unfortunately later navdata changes occur, and even they won't be necessarily captured in the available range of planning utilities.

So rather than make impracticable last-minute changes, we seek indulgence, cooperation and tolerance from local ATC to recognise our situation.

Cheers
Ed (WF Route Planner)
