Just some questions about this years event .
What flightsim will be used?
Will we get links to what scenery is being used by The teams?
Is there any software we should be using? I'll be using pmdg 737ng fs9 this year and would like any information you can give me to help me. Am trying to fly the the whole event between me and three friends.
I've started getting the charts for some airports would it be possible for worldflight to do links for airport charts so everyone is using the same charts.
And the last question do the teams use random failures during the event or do is this not recommend I just want to make it as real as I can.

The route is now available from the OPERATIONS\|DOWNLOADS section. Flight plans in the vaious popular FS aircraft are available and will be uploaded very soon.

It is planned to have a full set of DAPS and enroute charts available in PDF format and will advise how to access these when they are finalised.

The scenery used by the various fixed base sims is only available for the sims as it is donated by the scenery providers for the use of the WFG sims only.

Glad you are planning to try and be with us for the whole time, it is a big job for just four pilots and no we don't use random failures as a practice.

Terry

Thanks Terry for your answers and your response. Good luck for this year for what will be a great event as it's organised by a great team and is a event to look forward to every November.

i started to check out various 'exotic' airports for nav aids and compared the airport layouts to actual and current ones - from up-to-date charts (missing taxiways, parking, etc).

it seems that some updates of afcads are in order, like missing ILS or miss-aligned ones, etc.

i might post some of the 'discoveries' - time permitting (and for fsx, only).
for example: quetta in pakistan... etc.

uploading flightplans for most commonly used add-ons seems to be a good idea, after all.
many routes are 'not published', at least not on vroute.info. constructing routes will probably lead to chaos :)

looking forward to it and thanks for the opportunity and the team's great effort and work!
it's appreciated by many online simmers - and most will never let you know.

HAL55 - dedicated and having fun :)

What would WorldFlight be without HAL55?

Look forward to seeing you along the way Marc.

thx terry

answering your rhetorical question:

WF11-HAL55=FS (=FULL SUCCESS)

or, answering your question with another question:
would the ocean be complete if just one drop was missing? :) --> pointing at all participants

people fade in and out of our lives - the memory however, lives on.
the 'spirit of WF' remains unencumbered, alive and serves an honorable cause!

cheers all

M
